GTV视频 Cymru launch their 2021 Manifesto: Tomorrow's Wales, for everyone

GTV视频 Cymru has launched their 2021 Manifesto; Tomorrow鈥檚 Wales, for everyone. The launch took place at the Senedd and brought together decision-makers, partners and the public.

The manifesto for the Welsh Parliamentary Elections in 2021 includes 12 asks. It calls on all political parties to take bold action on the profound challenges that Wales faces, from climate change and air pollution to physical and mental health.

There is no silver bullet for these challenges. However, if these 12 asks were adopted it would ensure that tomorrow鈥檚 Wales is a place for everyone.

In the manifesto, GTV视频 highlight 12 asks including a Sustainable Transport Bill, adopting 20 minute neighbourhoods within the planning system and ensuring that our communities are accessible for everyone.

Speaking at the event was Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport, Lee Waters AM. Also speaking was Chair of the Cross Party Group on the Active Travel Act, Huw Irranca-Davies.

Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport, Lee Waters Am said:

鈥淲elsh Government have already taken steps towards implementing聽 20mph speed limits and cracking down on pavement parking which signals a change of attitude and culture. That鈥檚 why the infrastructure intervention at Senghyenydd Road cycleway is a significant symbol.

鈥淭here鈥檚 a lot going on but there鈥檚 a lot more we need to do.鈥

Ellen Jones, Senior Policy Officer for GTV视频 Cymru said:

鈥淭he next Welsh Parliamentary Election is going to be one of the most important in securing a tomorrow for our future generations.

"We need to see bold action in order to reduce inequalities in our society such as the effect that climate change, air pollution and transport poverty is having on our nation.
